Overview
Jess is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Food Policy, having previously joined the Centre between 2019-2024 to complete her PhD in Food Policy. Her research largely sits at the intersection between participation and food systems, and looks at ways we can engage a range of citizens in food systems research - particularly those most affected by food systems challenges. Jess has experience in qualitative, ethnographic, participatory and rapid methods, as well as experience in public involvement.
Jess is currently working on the Joined Up Landscapes project, which aims to examine the conditions under which Nature-based Solutions (NbS) can make the greatest contribution to climate adaptation in the UK through multi-functional landscapes.
