Overview
Jennie has two main areas of research:
1) Developing and testing interventions to improve mental wellbeing and health in people with and without long-term conditions
2) Investigating the experiences of healthcare professional students
She also has experience/expertise in:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Stress and burnout
- Positive wellbeing (e.g. resilience and gratitude)
- Biological markers of health (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate variability and cortisol)
Methods:
-The Delphi method
-Evidence Based Co-design
-Randomised controlled trials
-Acceptability and feasibility testing
-Quantitative analysis using SPSS (advanced level) and R (still learning!)
-Qualitative: interviews and focus groups, thematic analysis, NVivo
