About
Overview
Chris is a HCPC-registered therapeutic radiographer. He is a Senior Lecturer in radiography and Practice Education Lead for the therapeutic radiography and oncology programme in the Division of Radiography, Department of Allied Health. Chris is recongised as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AdvanceHE).
Chris has previously held other responsibilities in the School. From 2022 to 2025 Chris was the Co-Head of the Department of Midwifery & Radiography. Prior to that he was the Strategic Practice Lead for the Allied Health Professions (Optometry, Radiography and Speech & Language Therapy). He has also previosuly worked as the Co-Programme Director of the Radiotherapy & Oncology programme and as the Practice Education Lead for both the diagnostic radiography and radiotherapy & oncology programmes, supporting radiography students and practice placement providers to ensure high quality experiences for students in their clinical placements.
Chris initially worked as a therapeutic radiographer at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. After becoming a senior radiographer he continued his clinical career in the NHS and joined the radiotherapy team at City, University of London in a seconded role from 2016 to 2018. He became a full-time member of the academic team at City, University of London in 2018.
Chris is the link lecturer for the radiotherapy departments at UCLH NHS Foundation Trust and The London Clinic.
Chris works with cancer charities in the United Kingdom in peer-reviewing and updating their patient information resources related to radiotherapy. He has a special interest in the holistic care of prostate cancer patients.
