Overview
Brad is a doctoral researcher at City St George's, University of London. He was awarded funding from the Wellcome Trust and the HARP programme to work on reducing health inequalities in East London. His PhD project will focus on adapting a talking therapy for use with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Prior to this Brad completed an MRes in Clinical Research at City St George's - during which he was awarded funding by WHO to carry out research into the barriers and facilitators of accessing care for asylum-seeking children in the UK.
Brad is a social worker and children's therapist with several years experience working in children's social care and child and adolescent mental health services in the NHS. He brings his real world safeguarding and clinical experience into his research, alongside his passion for supporting vulnerable adolescents. He continues to work in the NHS as a therapist.
