We created new group study pods, a dedicated flexible learning space, a versatile teaching space for use during core hours, and additional study areas available out of hours, seven days a week.
Flexible Computer Room In Jenner Wing
A new flexible computer room has opened in J1.9, which is located on the first floor of Jenner Wing along Corridor 1, Tooting campus.
The room provides 42 additional study spaces on campus for students. Each study space contains a computer in pop-up casing, giving the option to either use the computer in the ‘up’ position, or unlock additional desk space in the ‘down’ position. Each space also contains a charging point for students’ own devices.
J1.9 was formerly the location of the Self-Directed Learning Room, which was superseded by the new Clinical Practice Room on the 5th Floor of Hunter Wing.
The project to repurpose the space into a flexible computer room was jointly led by Estates and Facilities and Information Services as part of the Office for Students’ capital funding award.
How to use this facility
The opening hours of the room are:
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 10pm
- Saturday to Sunday, 9am to 4:30pm.
The space and computers are open for students to use during these hours unless booked for teachings.

Student Support Hub: New for 2025-26
Our Ground Floor recently underwent an exciting transformation to create a dedicated student space – the Student Support Hub. The Student Support Hub is part of an Education Transformation Project to significantly enhance teaching, learning and the campus experience for our students and staff.
About the Student Support Hub
The Student Support Hub is open from 8am to 8pm, with staff available at the Helpdesk from 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday, to offer advice and help with queries about student support and services.
The Student Support Hub has a variety of different study spaces to meet individual needs while on campus, including a café-style open plan space for networking and meeting friends, out-of-hours access control for student safety and security, and quiet study spaces.
There is also a kitchen with six built-in microwaves in the ‘heat and eat’ area, and a water filter tap for refilling water bottles throughout the day.
Additional Study Spaces on the Tooting Campus
At Tooting Campus, City St George's, University of London there is a range of venues available to help support your learning.
