Tutor Information
Both Melanie and Carolyn are visiting lecturers at City University who have over 40yrs combined experience in the field of Palliative and End of Life Care. Educated at master's level with extensive clinical experience in the hospital, hospice and community settings. Experience spans both at a local and national level. Melanie and Carolyn, driven by a shared passion for end of life care, are dedicated to crafting an inclusive, dynamic, and supportive learning environment for all participants.
Their commitment extends beyond traditional teaching, as they bring a genuine enthusiasm for fostering understanding and expertise in end of life care practices. Through their shared passion, Melanie and Carolyn aspire to instil not only knowledge but also a deep sense of empathy and compassion, ensuring that participants are well-equipped to provide comprehensive and person-centered end of life care.

It would be appropriate for both those students starting their journey in both health and social care as well as more experienced learners who may want to be updated on current issues and challenges in the field.
