Nkisi is the alias of Melika Ngombe Kolongo, a musician, artist, DJ, and producer born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and raised in Belgium. Tonight Nkisi will perform Shapes of Ruins as Energetic Devices: a powerful exploration of ancient ruins as vibrational technologies, where geometry, energy, and sound converge as gateways to memory and transformation.
Opening the evening will be Mohammed Rowe. Drawing from the pulse of urban life, Mohammed crafts rich sonic tapestries from found sounds, experimental techniques, and spontaneous composition.
Set inside SPARC Lab’s state-of-the-art 24.4-channel Ambisonic dome and the rare IKO speaker, this immersive performance creates a multi-sensory space for deep listening and reflection.
This concert is curated in collaboration with IKLECTIK art lab, a creative platform that showcases contemporary art, experimental music and artistic critical practice.
