Alganesh is a documentary following Dr Alganesh Fessah’s work with Eritrean refugees in Ethiopia and her attempts to secure refugees’ rights and liberate kidnapped and tortured prisoners in the Sinai desert. The film explores refugees’ experiences prior to arriving and at the refugee camps in Ethiopia.
The film screening of Alganesh (60 minutes) will be followed by a panel discussion with the co-director Marianna Beltrami and two City St George’s academics Dr Hallam Tuck and Dr Sara Silvestri. Dr Anna Katila will chair the event.
