About

Overview

Janet is a Senior Lecturer in Adult nursing specialising in clinical skills education and surgical care who joined City, University of London in 2002.

Janet trained at St. Bartholomew's hospital and initially started work as a staff nurse at Barts, working in general surgery. She was promoted to senior staff nurse and then sister, before moving to The Royal Hospitals NHS Trust into a role as senior sister. During this time, she worked in vascular, gastrointestinal and colorectal and breast surgery, as well as using radioactive isotopes in radiotherapy. She later branched out into plastic and reconstructive surgery, emergency and elective gynaecology whilst occupying the same role for Barts and The London NHS Trust, before joining City, University of London as a visiting lecturer in 2000. Since September 2010, she has also held a position as a link lecturer at The Heart Hospital and is currently at Barts Health NHS Trust.
