Overview
Georgina Turner MA BSc(Hons) SFHEA joined City, University of London in April 2018. She is an experienced HCPC registered diagnostic radiographer and university lecturer within the School of Health and Psychological Sciences (SHPS).
Since starting at City, Georgina has undertaken various internal and external roles including Senior Personal Tutor across Undergraduate and Postgraduate Radiography programmes, Practice Education Lead for Undergraduate Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging), she has been an Ethical Reviewer of Research within the School of Health and Psychological Sciences and Bayes Business School, as well as an External Examiner for the University of West England (UWE). Georgina completed her Masters in Academic Practice (MA) in 2021 with Distinction.
Prior to starting at City, University of London, Georgina worked in a variety of hospitals across London and South-West England. Georgina graduated with a BSc in Medical Imaging from the University of Exeter and started her career at Cheltenham General Hospital in 2012. Georgina moved to London in 2013 and has worked in one of London's busiest trauma center's, The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. She has since gained a wealth of experience across London Imaging departments including in Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Georgina teaches across all year groups at City, and she is the module leader for RD1043 Anatomy and Physiopathology 1 module and the Year 3 module RD3036 Management & Advancement of Radiographic Practice module.
Georgina would now like to share her clinical experience with future generations of Healthcare professionals at City, University of London.
