We have refurbished, expanded, and enhanced our facilities to provide a more immersive environment for hands-on laboratory work and skills-based learning.
These recent upgrades support practical training, strengthen real-world application, and ensure students have access to industry-standard equipment and spaces that reflect modern healthcare and science settings.
A Sector Leading Anatomy Suite
At City St George's, School of Health & Medical Sciences (Tooting campus), we will build on the current refurbishment work to equip multi-modal workstations in our anatomy teaching space.
These will include downflow tables (for cadaveric study) and Anatomage tables— interactive digital tables which allow for the exploration and learning of human anatomy in 3D.
Inspiring hands-on teaching and learning spaces
We are investing in key teaching spaces to support hands-on clinical training, including:
- Two 10-bed Simulated Hospital Settings
- Four Physiotherapy Teaching Laboratories
- Two flexible Clinical Skills Teaching Rooms
- An expanded Clinical Skills Practice Room
We will enhance our Paramedic simulation suite, creating an ‘immersion room’ to run Road Traffic Collision and major incident training, and increase the capacity of the radiography Treatment Planning System (TPS).
