Overview
Sepideh joined City Law School as a lecturer in law in August 2021, having previously held various Teaching Fellowships at London Universities namely, Royal Holloway, University of London, Brunel University London, Greenwich University and Anglia Ruskin University (Tort Law, Contract Law and Criminal ). She holds LLB (hons), LLM, and PhD degrees from City St Georges University of London, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Sepideh has research interests in Corporate and Maritime law.
In recent years, Sepideh's main project has been researching the law of Frustration and the court’s approach to developing this ancient concept in light of COVID19.
Sepideh’s other interest is in corporate law and separate corporate personality and the application of the judgment of Prest v Petrodel on the judicial approach of English law to potentially expand this concept.
Additionally, Sepideh is interested in the Maritime and in particular the application of corporate personality in one ship companies. Sepideh is the receiver of a prestigious scholarship The City Law School Research Scholarship for 4 years and Awarded a Master of Law Excellence Award Scholarship for 2 years, the ISU (International Salvage Union) committee prize
Sepideh's work has been published in leading national and international journals (Journal for International Trade and Transport Law ;International Company and Commercial Law Review; The Future of the Commercial Contract in Scholarship and Law Reform, Springer)
Outside of academia, Sepideh has practical experience of working in Citizen Advice brue where she worked with various clients with diverse backgrounds. Sepideh has an extensive background in teaching and using Technology to enhance student experience in legal learning.
Sepideh has teaching experience across Maritime Law, Company Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law & Tort Law.
At City, Sepideh teaches across several programmes: Foundations of Criminal Law (LLB1 ); Foundation of Contract Law and Practice (LLB1 ); Carriage of Good by Sea Law (LLM); Maritime Law ( LLB3 – Module leader), Energy Law ( LLM).
Sepideh welcomes PhD candidates with diverse Commercial Law background, particularly in Maritime law and Corporate Law

Research
The Chinese Government’s research project
The research project was on re-opening the Silk Road Contributed to the research strategies of the school and strengthen the City Law School, City, University of London’s research networks by managing and undertaking governmental research project. The project was focused on the collaboration of corporations working within Silk Road. The project was focused on the international corporations sharing information about domestic regulations and cultural differences online to work more coherently.
