French Beginners – Holiday Basics Course overview
This online course in conversational French for holidays is aimed at total beginners and those who might need a little refresher ahead of their travels.
Taught across one weekend, it will allow you to brush up on common phrases to use abroad or converse with friends and family who speak the language. It is one of the best ways to learn French if you are short of time.
These French lessons are interactive and immersive to maximise your knowledge. No French grammar and verbs, more French glamour and verve!
It is also a great introduction if you are considering studying a longer course at City St George's but would like to get a flavour for the language first.

Anybody wanting to brush up on their French in a short space of time, perhaps for a holiday in France, Africa or anywhere French speaking.

Please note that the learning outcomes may vary depending on progress made by the students.
Assessment and certificates
This is a two-day, interactive and role-play style workshop. Useful handouts including audio files will be available to refer to during and after the course. These will allow you to consolidate your knowledge and practice prior to your trip.
One piece of homework to be completed at the end of day 1 in preparation for day 2.
Students who complete 70% of the classes will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
Eligibility
This course is aimed at total beginners or almost beginners.
English requirements
Fluent spoken English is essential.
Please note this class is not suitable for students wishing to improve their English language skills.
