About
Overview
Ayesha Taylor-Camara is a lecturer specialising in media and marketing analytics. Her PhD from the University of Nottingham’s Department of Cultural, Media and Visual Studies, titled ‘What has the BBC ever done for us?’ Ontological security and broadcasting in an online era developed an alternative framework for thinking about how we value the BBC in everyday life.
Ayesha's research focuses on the media's role and value in everyday life and understanding why audiences think and feel the way they do about the content, brands and marketing they consume and engage with. Ayesha helps brands, podcasters and marketers better understand how their content, marketing and brand resonate with audiences. Her growing research interest is in the application of LLMs for content discovery and audience research within the media industries.
Having worked in audience research and insights teams across the BBC, Audible and Paramount, outside of teaching, Ayesha also runs Nerdlxb, an events and research agency delivering insights that empower brands to make confident content and marketing decisions when targeting Black consumers in the UK.
